It is a profound honor to serve as the President of the Pakistan Mediators Association (PMA). As the legal and commercial landscapes evolve, the role of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) has never been more critical in ensuring swift, equitable, and effective justice.

My journey as a founding member of this Association has been driven by a belief that mediation is not just a professional tool, but a necessity for a developing legal system. As we look toward the future, my commitment is to ensure our Association becomes a more vibrant and collaborative platform, bridging the gap between traditional litigation and modern dispute resolution.

Since our inception, the PMA has been dedicated to promoting and organizing the practice of mediation across Pakistan. We strive to maintain the highest standards of professional conduct and to provide a unified voice for mediators nationwide. My focus as President is to expand our reach, ensuring that Mediation becomes a cornerstone of our legal landscape, recognized by both the judiciary and the public as a vital tool for social and economic harmony.

We are committed to:

• Capacity Building & Professional Development: Continuing to facilitate high-caliber training and accreditation for mediators to ensure world-class standards of practice to keep our members' skills at the forefront of the industry.
• Advocacy: Engaging with stakeholders and the judiciary to integrate mediation into the mainstream legal framework.
• Innovation: Embracing modern techniques and global best practices to resolve trade, maritime, and commercial conflicts effectively.
• National Conventions: We will endeavour to organize regular gatherings to share insights, celebrate successes, and strengthen our collective voice across the country.
• Enhanced Coordination: We are dedicated to improving communication and engagement between all members to ensure every perspective is heard and valued.
• Membership Growth: We will actively welcome new professionals to expand the reach and influence of mediation within Pakistan’s legal and business communities.
• Code of Conduct for Mediators: Furthermore, a key priority for this term is the establishment of a new committee dedicated to coordinating with the Pakistan Bar Council and Provincial Bar Councils. This initiative will focus on formalizing a robust Code of Conduct for Mediators, ensuring that our practice remains grounded in the highest ethical and professional standards.

Today, being the founding president of Pakistan Mediators Association, I am delighted to witness the growth of platform dedicated for dialogue and peaceful dispute resolution. Our mission is to promote Mediation as an effective tool towards ethical and accessible means of dispute resolution within our beloved country. We remain committed to upholding the highest professional standards and fostering trust in alternative dispute resolution mechanisms.
